Encore – YWCA

YWCA encore is a free 8-week program for women who have experienced breast cancer.

YWCA Encore is an exercise program designed specifically for women who have experienced mastectomy, lumpectomy or breast reconstruction surgery at any time in their lives. Based around floor and pool exercises and relaxation techniques, it is safe, fun and therapeutic.

Cancer Council NT

Cancer Councils coordinate a network of cancer support groups, services and programs to help improve the quality of life of cancer patients, people living with cancer, their families and carers.

Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA)

BCNA is the peak national organisation for Australians affected by breast cancer, and consists of a network of more than 90,000 individual members and 300 Member Groups, including NTBCV.

Breast Screen NT

Look Good, Feel Better

Look Good…Feel Better for Women is a free community service program that provides useful information and tips specifically tailored for women to you deal with the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment.

Our workshops teach you so much more than how to apply make-up. They will help to boost your self-esteem and be more confident during your treatment.

In a relaxed and friendly workshop environment, guided by experienced volunteers from the cosmetic and beauty industry, you will learn how to care for your skin and apply make-up to help minimise the appearance related side effects of your treatment.

BRAS NT produces a monthly email newsletter which includes the latest news and notices of events from members of the Alliance including:

Of course fun stuff is included such as information about the social events held by the Flamingo Belles and Belladonnas.

McGrath Foundation

Breast care nurses are specially trained registered nurses who act as patient advocates, coordinating care for women experiencing breast cancer, their families and their carers. They provide accurate information, support and referral to services.
